This is a review of the Snickers Marathon Protein Bar – Caramel Nut Rush. I recently found these at my gas station and thought i’d give them a try. To date, I have not been too impressed with the Snickers line of protein and energy bars, however the Caramel Nut Rush bar was surprisingly tasty and i would date to say one of the best tasting protein bars I’ve tried recently. It resembled the Reese’s Crispy Crunchy Bar in flavor even though it was a smooth chewy texture. At 10g of fat and 290 calories, it’s a bit in the upper range for a protein bar and should be classified as a meal replacement bar in my opinion. Nevertheless, the taste was great, 20g of protein is OK, but total fat grams for only 20g of protein was a bit concerning. It’s a great tasting bar in a pinch, but probably wouldn’t buy an entire box.
