We have all probably had some version of a cheeseburger pie at some point in our lives. This an easy to make recipe for healthy cheeseburger pie. With a few substitutions from your standard cheeseburger pie recipe, we have created a great tasting, healthy version. Total prep time is about 15 minutes, while total cooking time is about 30 minutes. Final nutrition facts if cut into 6 servings: 200 calories, 3g fat, 29g protein.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. 99% lean ground turkey
- 1 cup fat free cottage cheese
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup fat free shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- onion flakes
- minced garlic
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
- Brown turkey in a pan on the stove-top and add in garlic, onion, and worcestershire
- Place oats and baking powder in small bowl, and slowly add water while mixing together
- Once oats and water are mixed thoroughly, spread dough on bottom of pie pan
- Mix cottage cheese and egg in a bowl
- Spread turkey mixture on top of the oat dough in the pie pan
- Spread cottage cheese mixture over the turkey in the pie pan
- sprinkle shredded cheese over the top
- Place in Oven for 30-40 minutes
