Weight loss in a nutshell is all about calories in and calories burned. However, fighting your cravings and eliminating the excess calories in can be a daunting task! Below are a few tips you can use to fight food cravings.
- Meditation – Spend 3 minutes per day thinking about your goals, looking at a photo of where you want to be and commit to yourself in three minutes you will achieve that goal.
- Walk It Off – Often times a quick walk outside can eliminate a craving. The fresh air plus exercise will release endorphins which can put you in a better mood and eliminate the cravings all together.
- Alter Your Routine – If you find you snack at certain times during the day (like break time at work or during commercials) alter your routine so it’s harder or impossible to snack. Do push-ups, go for a walk or talk to a co-worker instead of snacking.
- Work It Into Your Nutrition Plan. Alter your nutrition plan to account for a cookie. Count your calories and ensure you don’t eat in excess. You’ll have something to look forward to and will also avoid a future binge! Eat in moderation and you won’t feel like you’re depriving yourself.
