The ones who are going to see results, are the ones who do not give in to those cravings, and stick to their gameplan. This is a healthy chocolate protein cake with protein frosting recipe, that will hopefully help you to satisfy those sweet cravings with a healthy option, and stay on track with your diet. This recipe makes 9 servings. Each serving/piece of cake with frosting: 115 calories, 1.5g fat, 2g sugar 11g protein as compared to a normal box cake from Pillsbury: 250calories, 3.5g fat, 23g sugar, 1g protein.
Cake Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups oat flour
- 2 scoops whey protein
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup stevia
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup fat free greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup skim milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
Combine wet ingredients in separate bowl and mix well.
Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredient bowl, and mix thoroughly
Pour batter into 8×8 baking dish, bake for 15-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
Protein Frosting Ingredients:
- 1 scoop whey protein powder
- 1tsp stevia
- 1/4 tsp cocoa powder
Simply add water to dry ingredients 1 tbsp at a time until desired frosting consistency is reached.
