I have been married for five years, and have two kids.(3 y.o and 6 m.o) I am a Respiratory Therapist in a Children’s Hospital. I work with two pound babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Most recently I am back in school, working towards my Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies degree.
I have been into working out and exercising since I was a little kid. I remember having competitions with my brothers over who could get the most pull-ups (and I always won). I continued to workout throughout elementary and into high school with the encouragement of my parents and my brothers and sister. Building strength was essential if I was going to succeed in football and wrestling. I finished high school as a two-time state champion in football, I was on the 1st team all-state as a senior. I also finished my senior year of wrestling undefeated and a state champion. I attribute much of this success to my dedication to working out.
Once I got to college in the big city, with all the fancy workout facilities and gyms available to me, I really started to hit the gym hard and heavy, and have been lifting heavy ever since.
My current Personal Records are:
- Bench Press 420,
- Squat 450,
- Deadlift 475.
Currently, with kids, and work, and school, and everything that is going on, all of these personal records have been attained in my garage where my wife has so graciously let me set up all of my equipment
As of the last three years, I have really started to focus on my overall health and fitness level. My blood pressure was creeping up into the 148/88 range and I needed to do something about it. That is the point where I started eating healthy foods, counting calories, and making sure i knew what I was putting in my body.
