Weighing meat for P90X

Don — Sat, 13 Aug 2016 20:34:18 GMT

So........I have been working on figuring out weighing my chicken on P90X......Of the seven servings of protein, I am using six in chicken. I weigh it raw to get 6-3 oz servings for 6 days for 7 lbs, after I cook it it only weighs about 4 lbs. so I have calculated that into 2 meals for a total of 11 oz of chicken. Does that sound right to you all?

Coloring Pages for Busy Days: Simple Printables That Help

On Coloring Pages Journey, a free website full of print-at-home art for all ages, I keep a small folder of Coloring pages free pdf ready for my busiest moments. When work pings, dinner is late, and the house feels loud, I don’t set up a big craft. I just walk to the printer, grab one simple sheet, and let a few quiet minutes of coloring reset the whole mood at our kitchen table.

When the Day Feels Too Full

You probably know this kind of day. Backpacks are on the floor, someone is asking for a snack, your inbox is full, and the TV remote is already in a small hand. Everything feels like “too much,” and you still have an evening to get through.

I used to put pressure on myself to invent the perfect activity every time—big crafts with glue, paint, or lots of prep. Most days, I didn’t have the energy or the patience. Half the supplies were missing, and cleanup took longer than the fun.

That was the moment I started looking for something smaller and kinder. I wanted an activity that felt easy, quiet, and realistic on a weekday. That’s when I slowly turned to simple print-at-home coloring sheets instead of more screen time.

Why Simple Printable Coloring Pages Help on Busy Days

Over time, I noticed a pattern. Some printables made everyone relax. Others only added stress. The ones that truly helped were always the same type: simple, clear, and open.

When I say “simple,” I mean designs with:

Big, readable shapes
Bold outlines
Minimal details
Black-and-white line art that is easy to color

These kinds of printable coloring pages lower the pressure for both kids and adults. There is no “right” way to finish them. You can color one item and stop, or fill the whole page. They fit perfectly into:

Short 5–10 minute gaps
Waiting time before meals
Wind-down moments when everyone feels wired

On busy days, that kind of low-pressure activity feels like a quiet gift.

My Grab-and-Print Routine (The 10-Minute Calm Ritual)

To make this work in real life, I built a tiny routine around coloring pages free printable designs. I didn’t want to think too much; I just wanted something I could do on autopilot.

Here’s my simple flow:

Open my favorite site with printable coloring designs.
Pick one page with bold outlines and big open spaces.
Download or open the PDF or PNG file.
Print on A4 or US Letter paper, whatever is already loaded.

To keep it smooth, I also set up the space:

Crayons and markers live in one small box near the table.
Finished and extra sheets sit in a flat folder so I can grab one fast.

This 10-minute calm ritual fits nicely after school, before bedtime, or on a rainy weekend afternoon when everyone is restless.

My Checklist for Busy-Day Printables (So They Just Work)

Before I commit to a new sheet, I do a quick “eye test.” It takes less than ten seconds but saves a lot of frustration later.

I ask myself:

Are the outlines dark and clear?
Is there plenty of white space?
Are there only a few main objects, not a crowded scene?

I get the best results with printable coloring pages in PDF or high-quality PNG. I usually avoid:

Very detailed mandalas when kids are tired
Low-resolution images pulled from random places online

For printing, I keep the settings simple. A4 is common in many countries, while US Letter is standard in the United States. If a border looks cut off in the preview, I change the setting from “Actual size” to “Fit to page.” That small switch fixes a lot of issues.

Cozy Autumn Coloring Sheets to Welcome Fall Creativity

A Simple Coloring Pages Collection I Keep Ready

To make things even easier, I keep three cozy designs ready to go. They come from a small collection I think of as my “busy-day set”—each one simple, bold, and full of breathing room for color.

Before we pick a page, I often describe the choices so everyone can decide what fits their mood. Then we move into each scene.

Camping Night Lantern Coloring Page

This coloring page shows a small tent, a lantern, and a campfire with three clear flame shapes. Above them, a crescent moon and five big stars float in the sky. It feels like a quiet night at a campsite, even if we’re actually sitting inside. The big shapes and simple sky make it easy to color in short bursts between other tasks.

Cute Pet Shop Puppy Coloring Page

This design has a little storefront with a “PET SHOP” sign, one window, one door, a cute puppy, a food bowl, and a single cloud in the background. The scene is playful but not busy, and the objects are easy to spot. It’s perfect for animal lovers and works well when we have only a few minutes before we have to move on.

Cozy Kitchen Baking Coloring Page

The last page shows a mixing bowl on a table, a whisk, three cookies on a plate, and a small oven with a simple window. It has warm kitchen energy without any flour on the floor. There are wide open areas to fill, which makes it ideal for “color while I cook” moments at the counter or table.

Together, these three designs feel familiar and comforting: everyday scenes, bold outlines, minimal detail, and enough variety to keep kids and adults interested without overwhelming them.

How I Use These Printables in Real Life

These sheets are more than just pictures. I treat them as tiny tools I can plug into different parts of the day.

Sometimes I set a page on the table before anyone walks in, like a quiet invitation. Other times, I pull out one Coloring page free illustration as a reset after homework or as a calm choice instead of another episode on TV.

To keep the same simple coloring images feeling fresh, we turn them into small games:

Three-color challenge: everyone chooses only three colors for the whole page.
Silly color swap: blue fire, green cookies, purple dog—anything goes.
Add your own details: extra stars in the camping sky, more treats near the puppy, or extra cookies on the plate.

Because the designs are open and clean, they can handle a lot of imagination without turning into clutter.

Coloring Pages Journey – My Shortcut Library for Free Printables

When I first searched for coloring pages online, I ran into pop-ups, watermarks, and files that didn’t print well. That changed when I found Coloring Pages Journey. It’s a free coloring page website that focuses on simple, print-friendly line art for all ages.

Now my routine looks like this:

I browse cozy scenes, animals, and seasonal sets when I have a quiet moment.
I save my favorite coloring sheets into one folder on my computer.
Once a week, I print a small stack so I’m ready for the next busy day.

Knowing I have a trusted library with clean PDFs and bold outlines takes a lot of mental load off my shoulders.

Conclusion: Let Simple Printables Take Some Weight Off Your Day

On the busiest days, you don’t need a perfect plan or a giant box of craft supplies. You just need one small tool that is easy to start and gentle to repeat. With simple coloring pages you can print at home, you can create short, calm pockets of time right in the middle of real life. Try printing one cozy scene tonight, see how the room feels for a few minutes, and remember that when you’re ready for more, you can always find fresh designs waiting for you on Coloring Pages Journey.
