5 Ingredient Keto Cheddar Chaffle Recipe - Keto Bun and Bread Alternative

Brace yourselves for the amazing 5-ingredient Keto Cheddar Chaffle Recipe!  This is my base recipe for a Keto bun and bread alternative.  You can use it for a bun, bread, pizza crust, cracker or just about anything where you would typically use a bread product.

This Keto cheddar chaffle recipe will end up with about 1-2g net carbs coming from the almond flour and cheddar cheese, so it is definitely Keto-friendly.  I have used this recipe for a bun on a bacon cheeseburger, pepperoni pizza crust, hot ham and cheese sandwich and a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich.  Like I said, it only has 5 ingredients so I will typically have everything on-hand and won't end up spending $50 at the store buying stuff I don't have and will never use.

5-Ingredient Keto Cheddar Chaffle Recipe

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp almond flour
  • 1 tbsp whipping cream
  • dash onion powder
  • 1/4c cheddar cheese (plus a little more)

Directions

  1. Sprinkle a little cheese on a hot waffle iron
  2. Carefully spread chaffle mixture over waffle iron
  3. Sprinkle a little more cheese on top
  4. Close waffle iron and cook until crispy
  5. Eat
