As a guy who dabbles in Crossfit, I have followed various crossfit enthusiasts on Twitter and Facebook which led me to learn about AMRAP Nutrition. AMRAP Nutrition is a nutrition company for high intensity, cross-trained, extreme athletes. Their motto is simple: produce high quality products, never use preservatives or artificial sweeteners, promote the paleo diet and live a healthy lifestyle.
AMRAP recently sent over a box of their ReFuel bars and I have to say...I REALLY ENJOYED THEM! The ingredients are 100% paleo and include things like Almond Butter, raw almonds, raw honey and coconut to name a few. The taste was very "almondey" with a hint of coconut and the texture was a tad crumbly - you do not get that typical chewy protein bar texture. With 21g of unsaturated fats, it is a great way to get your dose of healthy fats. The price may seem scary at $3/bar but I can say after eating one of these I had to contain myself from downing the entire box before I recorded the review. I will definitely be purchasing some of these.
