Here is another review for a product from bodybuilding.com's latest Platinum Series Line. This is Amino Recovery. Essentially, this is designed to be an intra-workout drink. It contains a hefty amount of BCAAs as well as a few other key ingredients.
Bodybuilding.com Platinum Series Amino Recovery Review Highlights
Amino Recovery is a perfect intra workout drink. The 8 grams of BCAAs is a a generous amount, and it also is nice to get the 3 grams of glutamine in the same drink. The 1.5 grams of L-Citrulline is included as an NO booster/pump enhancer. Bottom line- great ingredients for an intra workout drink!
I had the blue raspberry flavor, and the taste was great. I have also tried the blue raspberry flavor of bodybuilding.com's pre-workout supplement Scream, and they are very similar. Just a nice blue raspberry flavor, with no weird after-taste or anything like that.
I noticed Amino Recovery selling for about $22 for a 30 serving tub on bodybuilding.com. This price is pretty nice, and seems to be in line with other similar products on the market.
I have now trialed several products from the bodybuilding.com Platinum Series, and they are quickly becoming some of my favorites. From the Scream pre-workout, to the Protogen protein blend to the Amino Recovery, bodybuilding.com has created quite the stack of supplements that I envision myself using now and in the future.
