Chaffle House Keto Bacon Cheese Burger Recipe

I have been eating very low carb lately - almost, but not quite full-on Keto.  This Sunday was opening week for NFL football and I wanted to celebrate in style without blowing up my nutrition plan.  This Chaffle House Keto Bacon Cheese Burger was just the ticket.

The entire burger has only 3g carbs coming from the almond flour, however, since I used an entire pound of beef to construct the burger and only ate 1/4 of it, I ended up with only .75g of carbs.  The best thing was that the crispy cheese chaffle was almost better than a traditional bun - even my kids liked it.

Chaffle House Keto Bacon Cheese Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 pickles
  • 2 large slices of cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4c shredded cheddar cheese
  • garlic powder to taste

 Directions

  1. Fry bacon and set aside - drain grease, but don't clean the pan
  2. Make your burger into one large-ass patty and fry it up
  3. Make two Chaffles
    1. Combine 1 egg, 1 tbsp cream, 1 tbsp almond flour, 1/4c shredded cheese, pinch of garlic powder
    2. sprinkle a little cheese on bottom of waffle iron, pour on mixture, sprinkle top with cheese
    3. Cook until crispy
    4. Repeat
  4. Assemble the burger using chaffles as the bun
