I received a sample of CytoSport's Monster Amino in my January Fitbox from MyPlatinumBox.com. I am a pretty big fan of BCAA supplements, and I have had decent experiences with CytoSport products, so I was eager to try this one.

Main Highlights of Monster Amino:

*8:1:1 BCAA ratio
*1 gram Citrulline Malate
*Sugar Free
*Good Taste
*Fair Price

As with any BCAA supplement, CytoSport recommends using Monster Amino either pre/post/intra workout. I tend to agree with this and think you can really take BCAAs any time through the day. I typically use them as an intra-workout, and that is what I did with Monster Amino. The added citrulline malate is good for intra workout as it is a precursor to nitric oxide and assists in creating those massive pumps. I am not so sure I completely agree with the 8:1:1 ratio, however Leucine has been shown to be one of the most important amino acids, so maybe CytoSport is on to something. The taste of the Fruit Punch flavor was good. It tasted like a fruit punch flavored kool-aid. It also mixed very well.

The price on Monster Amino on bodybuilding.com is $25 for a 30 serving tub. This seems right in line with other products similar. A pretty decent price as we are under the $1/serving. Overall a good tasting, product with decent contents at a fair price.
