CytoSport Monster Pump NOS Pre Workout Supplement Review- Sour Grape

Monster Pump is marketed as a Pre-Training Nitric Oxide Energy Catalyst. It contains a nitric oxide synthase (NOS) enhancing peptide fraction that helps trigger muscle pumps for a surge of nutrient delivery.

• L-Arginine+Citrulline Malate are included to enhance nitric oxide synthesis, cell volumization and nutrient delivery to muscle tissue.
• Creapure: Pure creatine monohydrate for explosive muscle power output.
• PepForm: Leucine peptides for enhanced Leucine, bioavailability to trigger mTOR pathway muscle protein synthesis.
• CarnoSyn Beta-Alanine: For enhanced strength anaerobic & Aerobic capacity and delayed muscle fatigue.
• L-Carnitine Carnipure: For cellular energy production and delayed muscle fatigue.
• Monster Pump also contains a significant amount of caffeine. 150mg/serving to be exact.

I took this product exactly as the label directed me. I mixed 2 servings in 16oz of water and waited 30 minutes before training. I did not get a HUGE rush of energy for some reason, however, I did feel pretty energized throughout my workout, and my energy did not drop off at the end. I was able to establish a good pump, and sustain my energy and focus through the entire workout.

I had the Sour Grape flavor, and to be honest, it tasted pretty much like you would expect a grape flavored supplement to taste like. There was nothing horrible about it, nor was there anything really special, just an average grape tasting product.

Current price on bodybuilding.com is $31.77 for 30 servings. If I were to purchase Monster Pump, there would need to be a pretty dang good sale going on, otherwise there are many other preworkout supplements out there that I would prefer over Monster Pump.
