I recently downed a sample packet of Rebellion by F3 Nutrition that they so graciously sent to us. I had just completed a 20 minute AMRAP crossfit style workout so I thought it was a perfect time to give Rebellion a shot. I tested out the Creamsicle flavor and it was REALLY GOOD. It reminded me of a lighter version of MusclePharm's Orange Creamsicle Combat Powder. Overall, I would give the product a 9/10. I would like to see a bit more protein but I suppose I could just take two scoops! Below is my video F3 Nutrition Rebellion Review. I don't normally do shirtless reviews, but some dude commented on my youtube channel asking if I even workout....I do.

UPDATE: After I posted this review, F3 got a hold of me (and commented) and provided a link to a study titled "Minimal whey protein with carbohydrate stimulates muscle protein synthesis following resistance exercise in trained young men" thus backing-up their 20g carb : 10g protein ratio in Rebellion with scientific evidence. You can read the study here.

Highlights

  • Excellent Taste and Mixability - 9/10
  • Good nutrient profile - 2:1 carb/protein ratio with creatine, HICA, casein and whey protein isolate
  • Recommendation: Definite Buy

Rebellion is intended to be consumed after your workout to help aid in recovery and prevent DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). The package also states that you could consume it prior to bedtime to allow for a sustained supply of nutrients. Rebellion had a pretty solid nutrient profile with a 2:1 carb to protein ratio, 6g of sugar, 130 calories and only 1g of fat.

According to F3 Nutrition:

Key Benefits of REBELLIONâ„¢:

  • Fueling the muscle and liver glycogen (carbohydrate) stores.*
  • Helps protect cell membranes & DNA from free radical damage.*
  • Aid Anti-Inflammatory properties.*
  • Helps reduce oxidative stress on the muscles.*
  • Supports the manufacture new muscle protein.*
  • Helps reduce Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS).*

Timing is CRITICAL!: If you want the full advantages that protein and carbs offer, timing your intake after exercise is extremely important, especially if rapid recovery is your goal. The rate of glycogen refueling, muscle tissue repair, and muscle building can occur in hours not days.*
