This is a recipe for Taco Chili. I got the recipe from one of my wife's friends. The recipe is very easy to make, and is pretty healthy overall. The only thing I would watch out for is the sodium content. I did calculate it out, and the recipe I show in the video comes out to about 8-10 servings. With each serving containing approximately 175 calories, 1.5grams fat, and 20 grams protein.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5lbs Ground Turkey
  • 1/2 yellow Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes (with or without green chiles)
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 can chili beans
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 packet ranch dip seasoning
  • 1 Cup Water

Directions:

  • Brown the turkey in a pan with the onion.
  • Combine turkey, and all other ingredients in crock pot.
  • Cook on low for 3 hours until chili is hot.

I usually cook on low for 3 hours, then leave it on the "warm" setting for the rest of the day.

Can serve with pita chips and/or low fat shredded cheese.
