If you have enough time to allow for an hour in the oven, this healthy turkey meatloaf recipe is super easy to whip up, and tastes great. Loaded with protein and low in fat, ground turkey provides a nice alternative to beef in this meatloaf. Add in the oats for some heart health, and this meal is great all-around. Preparation time is easily under 10 minutes, and then its up to the oven to do the rest. While the meatloaf is cooking preparing the side dishes is a cinch. Pop some peas in the microwave, and throw a bag of rice in some boiling water, and you got yourself a well balanced meal. Nutrition facts for the meatloaf: 1 serving, (1/8 of your loaf) 298 calories, 29g protein 2.5g fat. With side dishes: 500 calories, 37g protein, 4g fat. Ingredients: (Meatloaf)

  • 2 lbs 99% lean ground turkey
  • 1/3 c ketchup
  • 1 c oats
  • 3 egg whites
  • chopped dried onion flakes to taste

Directions: (Meatloaf)

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In large mixing bowl combine turkey, egg whites, oats, ketchup, and onion. Mix well. Place mixture in bread loaf pan.
  • Bake in oven for 60 minutes
  • Enjoy!
