The bicep, compared to the tricep and shoulder is the smallest muscle on your upper arm. So focusing solely on the bicep and not trying to beef-up your shoulders and triceps will result in an imbalanced arm that doesn't look as big as it could! If you want to get big arms, you need to build your triceps and shoulders. The added definition on your shoulder will make your bicep appear to have a bigger peak. The added mass on your tricep will make the thickness and overall appearance of your arm look MUCH BIGGER.
