This low fat, healthy, homemade hawaiian pizza recipe is low in fat & calories and high in protein. It also only contains five ingredients which makes it extremely fast & simple to prepare. The crust ends up crispy, the ham closely resembles canadian bacon and the distinct pineapple taste is omnipresent in each bite. This is a healthy alternative to most frozen pizzas you get at the supermarket.

Ingredients:

  • 2 whole wheat 8 inch tortillas (*look for low fat tortillas to lower overall fat & calories in this recipe)
  • 1 slice ham lunch meat
  • 12 pineapple tidbits (or 3 chunks cut into fourths)
  • 1/4c+ fat free mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4c pizza sauce

Cooking Instructions

  1. Pre-Heat Oven to 450
  2. Pre-heat skillet on medium high heat (on the stove top)
  3. Brown (but don't burn) both sides of both tortillas
  4. Place one tortilla on the counter and add a small amount of the cheese
  5. Top with the second tortilla
  6. Add 1/4c of pasta sauce on top of the second tortilla and spread around with a spoon
  7. Top with remaining cheese
  8. Add the ham and pineapples
  9. Place in oven for 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges start to brown (but don't burn your tortillas)
  10. Slice and enjoy!
