I have been in the market for some new equipment for several months now. I had sold my PowerTec rack, bar, plates, weight tree etc to Gabe nearly 4 years ago as I thought I would *NEVER* use them again as I was pretty hooked on P90X. However I got the bug to get back into pushing around the iron and began my search for a power rack on craigslist about 3 months ago.
The months went by and I was not finding ANYTHING. So I started to price-out new equipment and it was just so expensive I could not get myself to pull the trigger. The entry-level rack from PowerTec is now $560 and the lat attachment is another $520 (plus shipping) - That is just pretty darn expensive. So you can imagine my surprise when I see the following pop up for sale on craigslist...

I got the guy down to $700 but did not want to push much further since I knew this was already a steal at full-asking price. I did have to drive 3 hours one way to pick up the goods, but tack-on another $120 in gas and I am still sitting at one heck of a deal! I will be able to lift safely at home and push myself harder.
