SWEET - we finally have completed Phase 1 and get to enter the Pyramid Phase - And what do I do? Totally jack-up the workout!!! I got so used to doing the supersets in Phase 1 that for the first 4 exercises, I did them as supersets and in the Pyramid phase, you do not superset the exercises. If you skip ahead to around the 29:40 minute mark you will see the point in the video where I realize that I was being an idiot and did not perform the workout correctly. I know this will not really mess up the program, but I was just pissed that I did not pay attention. The excitement of Pyramiding got to me.
As always, when starting a new routine (or new phase) there is a bit of a learning curve. You need to figure out your weights and have to play around a bit. Now that I found my working weights, next week when I do this workout I will know right where to start.
I had a great workout and used the following weights:
Max-Rep Pull-Ups: 20, 14, 11, 10 Incline: 135x12, 145x10, 155x8, 165x6 Seated Rows: 90x12, 140x10, 160x8, 160x8, 160x8 Flat Bench: 225x5, 235x5, 245x5, 255x5, 265x5 Pull Downs: 90x15, 110x12, 110x10 Chest Flies (with a 4 count hold at bottom) 30lbs x 5 sets of 5
