This is a review of MusclePharm Wreckage. This is one of the most potent jam-packed pre-workout supplements I've seen. It is filled with quality inigredients in maximal dosages. I have seen the teasers for this and have also been following the Squat Everyday program so naturally I was stoked to give it a shot and Wreckage by MusclePharm did not disappoint. I destroyed my workout, had endless amounts of energy and set a front-squat PR for a heavy triple @ 300# (did I mention I squat everyday?).
The best part of Wreckage was that I dominated my workout. I had what seemed like endless energy and wanted to keep lifting. It tasted great and was just over-all a bad-ass supplement. Get a sample or buy a tub..you won't be disappointed.
If you want something hardcore, just read the label as MusclePharm has pretty much jam-packed Wreckage with the maximal dosages of all the key pre-workout ingredients you'd need for a hardcore workout - as always, no proprietary blends and no fillers.
MusclePharm Wreckage Review Highlights
MusclePharm Wreckage Contains:
An in-depth review of MusclePharm Wreckage
MusclePharm Wreckage, as with all MusclePharm supplements has a non-proprietary label. This means we can take a close look at each ingredient during our MusclePharm Wreckage review and provide a careful analysis of the product.
L-Citrulline DL-Malate (6g)
When we that MusclePharm Hardcore Wreckage contains 6g of L-Citrulline DL Malate, we know it is the real deal. Numerous studies have shown that for maximal benefits you either want a full 3g of straight L-citrulline or 6g of Citrulline Malate.
Citrulline has been shown to boost levels of nitric oxide and growth hormone in the body by converting to arginine. While consuming Citrulline you may also notice a greater training capacity and less fatigue. At the end of the day, 6g of Citrulline Malate is exactly what we look for and Wreckage delivers.
L-Leucine (4g)
L-Leucine is a popular branched-chain amino acid as it is known throughout the fitness world as an "anabolic activator". It signals a process which triggers muscle building.
D-Aspartic Acid (3g)
Back in 2009, D-Aspartic Acid had a study published on it showing it's ability to naturally increase testosterone synthesis and release. Over the next few years it became the golden boy of testosterone boosters and rightly so, it makes you feel invincible - at least for 30 days or so.
According to two studies, it was shown that your testosterone levels will fall back to normal after around 30 days of DAA consumption - ok, that's fine. Just means we should probably cycle Wreckage with Assault or your other favorite pre-workout supplement.
When it comes down to it, having DAA is a definite benefit and positive for Wreckage.
Caffeine (350mg)
Wreckage is loaded to the brim with caffeine. With a whopping 350 mg of caffeine per scoop, MusclePharm is pretty much telling us "fellas, we got the dosing correct here. No need to take two scoops". We want to ensure we take a level scoop here because even taking a heaping scoop will have us brushing up against the safety limits of caffeine consumption.
That being said, if you're a person who only needs or wants 100 - 150mg of caffeine per in their pre-workout, Wreckage may not be for you since taking 1/2 of a scoop will prevent you from getting the effective dosages of the rest of the ingredients.
Creatine HCL (2g)
We should all be aware by now that Creatine HCl is *supposed* to lead to increased bioavailabiltiy and update in comparison to regular old creatine monohydrate. Due to these claims, it is accepted that you do not need as much Creatine HCl in order to get the same effect. However, we have yet to see a serious research study to back-up these claims which leaves us wonder ing if we'd still need to supplement creatine monohydrate post workout.
Carnosyn Beta Alanine (1.6g)
Beta Alanine is the muscular endurance boosting amino acid that we all know about. No matter what type of activity you are participatin in, beta alanine should make you last longer and work harder. Research has shown the best dose of beta alanine to be 3.2g, so we may think that Wreckage is under dosed. We think 1.6g is adequate. If you don't, go buy some bulk beta-alanine and take another 1.6g.
L-Tyrosine (1.2g)
If you want to focus, we need to consume some L-Tyrosine and Wreckage has plenty of that. MusclePharm's wreckage contains 4 to 6 times the dose of L-Tyrosine that we see in typical pre-workout supplements. This is what could set Wreckage apart from other pre-workout supplements and you might feel the difference.
Agmatine Sulfate (500mg)
Agmatine is primarily used as a nitric oxide booster in supplements although it does not really boost NO, it just inhibits NO breakdown which essentially will boost NO levels in your body.
500mg of agmatine is really the standard dose, but combining this with the 6g of Citrulline and the agmatine dosage should work quite well.
Bioiperine Black Pepper Extract (5mg)
Black pepper extract (known as peperine) has been added to supplements over the years because it can help in the absorption of certain nutrients.
Huperzine A (100mcg)
Huperzine is another focus booster in MusclePharm's Wreckage. It really think MusclePharm wants us to focus during our workout. Huperzine works by slowing the brain's breakdown of acetylcholine. 100mcg is a pretty small dose, but Huperzine is expensive and most supplements don't go higher than this simply due to cost.
This MusclePharm Wreckage Review has definitely made me put it on the must-try supplements of 2015.
