Amino Build by MuscleTech is an amino acid supplement that is claimed to be the "World's first strength-enhancing BCAA+ Formula". It says it will increase strength by 40%, enhances endurance on the first dose and volumizes muscles during training. Gabe and Luke had the opportunity to taste test Amino Build and sip it during the MuscleTech Loaded Guns workout. I am not confident I noticed a 40% strength increase as I did not barbell curl 140 for 12 reps, however I do believe I felt the citrulline kick-in and we had a great workout.

I have been taking intra-workout BCAA supplements for quite a while now so I would be reluctant to say Amino Build out-performed the others I have tried after only taking it for a single workout. I can say that I am a pretty big fan of the nutrient profile. I like it when my BCAAs includes citrulline or beta-alanine for that little extra vascularity and absorption. Amino Build also contains glutamine which is nice for recovery. Overall, I was pretty happy with it. There was something just a bit off with the taste. It almost had a bit of a "medicine" like after-taste which wasn't horrible, but was not great either.

MuscleTech Amino Build Review Highlights:

  • 8g BCAA with 4g Leucine, 2.5g Bataine, 0 sugar
  • Mixed up very well
  • Taste was a bit off - had a sort of "medicine" after taste - not horrible, but the best we've ever tried
  • Contains glutamine and citrulline
  • Recommendation - GOOD
