MuscleTech recently introduced a new line of products called their Essential Series. Included in this line is a 100% Whey Protein supplement. This was nice to see as most other protein supplements I have used from MuscleTech have been some form of "combination" protein (Phase 8, Anabolic Halo, Mass Tech, NitroTech). So when I became aware of the 100% Whey product in the Essential Series, it was a pleasant surprise. This review focused on the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup flavor.
The supplement facts are pretty rock solid, with each scoop containing:
130 Calories 1.5 grams fat 4 grams carbs 2 grams sugar 24 grams protein
The flavor I reviewed in this video was the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. The mixability was by far top notch. Mixed very smoothly with no clumps, foam, or other precipitates. The overall flavor was good, however the peanut butter was very subtle. It mostly tastes like a chocolate protein supplement. I feel they could have went a little heavier with the peanut butter flavor.
Overall I would recommend this product. It had good taste, the ingredients are rock solid, and the mixability was second to none.
