This is a review of Optimum Nutrition Platinum Tri-Celle Casein Review in the Chocolate Decadence flavor. Now we all know and love Optimum Nutrition and they are known for putting out quality products so I had high hopes for Tri-Celle Casein. According to Optimum Nutrition: Platinum Tri-Celle Caseinâ„¢ is ONs slowest-digesting protein to date. By using novel, patent pending MicelleXLâ„¢ technology, they have combined micellar casein molecules into a structure that is approximately triple the average size. These super-sized molecules form an ultra-thick gel that takes several hours to be digested and absorbed, providing sustained release amino acid delivery for lasting lean muscle support.

So, after testing out a single serving of Tri-Celle casein, I have to say it was average in taste and mixability. It was definitely not the smoothest or the best chocolate flavor I have tried. That being said, if you are someone who gets hungry at night or firmly believes in eating slow-digesting proteins at night, ON Tri-Celle Casein may be a good product for you. As for me, I will probably stick to cottage cheese and sunflower seeds.
