If there are 2 things I love to eat in this world, its protein and coffee. How lucky was I to stumble upon this Protein/Espresso Frap Recipe on the Top Secret Nutrition facebook page. The recipe was posted by Sarah Sussman, a Top Secret Nutrition sponsored athlete. The recipe looked very simple, and tasty so I thought I would give it a shot. FYI: I have never had a "frap" before. I typically drink hot black coffee.
Ingredients per Sarah:
topped with cinnamon & pumpkin spice
I forgot to top it with cinnamon and pumpkin spice, however, I don't really feel it was necessary because the Frap was delicious. I could taste the coffee, and the vanilla from the Almond milk and protein. This was a very easy recipe and tasted very good too. The bulk of the nutrition content of the Frap recipe comes from the protein powder. You do get a tiny additional amount of calories (maybe 10-20) from the almond milk and coffee.
Overall a quick, great tasting coffee recipe. I would recommend trying it out if you like coffee and protein!
