I have been following Cory Gregory's Anabolic fasting guidelines lately and also doing more research of my own on intermittent fasting and also the anabolic diet. While scouring the internet, I came across a video by Mike Rashid discussing why he only eats one meal per day.
Mike Rashid's reasons for only eating one meal per day were somewhat compelling and mostly were in regards to heart and liver health and not taxing his digestive system all day long by eating every 3-4 hours. He is also not eating meat every day which seemed odd to me.
According to the video his typical daily meal consisted of a pile of roasted vegetables, and a protein shake with peanut butter, coconut milk and super greens. He did say that he has lost almost 20 pounds on this "diet", going down from 240# to 220#.
It may be worth looking at, however as of now I think I am going to stay on the Anabolic Fasting guidelines as I'm not looking to drop weight.
