Banana Bread Overnight Oats Recipe

You need to be extra nice to bananas, you know why? You don’t want to hurt their peelings.

Try this banana bread overnight oats recipe for a quick and easy breakfast packed with protein and healthy carbs.  When you use bananas , you do not need any additional sugar as the bananas sweeten the oats naturally.  Add in some pecans and optional protein powder and we have ourselves a natural protein-packed breakfast that will keep our blood sugars in-check, keep us full and help us stay lean.

Banana Bread Overnight Oats Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 medium bananas
  • 2/3c dry instant oats
  • 1/2c greek yogurt (plain)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 2/3c almond milk
  • 1/2tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Mash the whole banana with a fork in a bowl and add oats, yogurt, seeds, milk and cinnamon...stir it up
  2. Pour mixture into two half-pint canning jars.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight
  4. In the morning, slice the remaining 1/2 banana and top each jar with the banana slices and pecans
